I am a third generation feng shui expert and have helped thousands of people improve their lives through feng shui.

summary of the knowledge corner
Based on feng shui principles, when improvements are made to the knowledge corner of your environment in combination with improvements made to complementary areas, it can impact what you know and what you can do.
This area is particularly fun and should usually receive special attention in addition to other areas you want to improve. For example, if you have wealth or health problems, it may not be due to deficiencies in those areas, but rather a deficiency in your abilities to know what you need to do to improve your life in those areas.
best colors: blue, green or black
not just for students
In feng shui, your corner of skills and knowledge is located on the far left of your front door (when you’re standing in front of your front door facing your space, turn left and then face the corner left).
This area is not just for students who are in school or someone who wants to further their education. rather, this area may be for life skills and better understanding through knowledge.
For example, do you need to learn how to better manage your finances since you are currently making poor decisions? interested in learning a new language? Do you want to change your career but don’t have the skills to execute that dream? Are you seeking to have a better spiritual understanding of the world?
if you answered yes to any of these questions or could answer something similar, then this is an area where you should focus some of your energy.
Metaphorical and Literal Symbols
As always in feng shui, use symbolism to enhance your skills/knowledge/wisdom throughout your home or office.
as you can imagine, place objects in this area that will remind you of the things you want to learn, understand and improve.

More generally, you can also display objects that signify wisdom and knowledge to you, such as a judge’s gavel, a chess set, Einstein’s equation to describe the theory of relativity, etc.
You can also have a tree or a plant that will grow as your knowledge and wisdom over time.
Books & Libraries
For seemingly obvious reasons beyond feng shui, books are great in the skills/knowledge/wisdom area of your home or office. therefore, it could be a great place for a library, a place for study, and a place for meditation.
Try to use books that symbolize your current skills you’d like to master and those skills you hope to learn.
You should also have pictures of historical figures who have reached the pinnacle of success in whatever knowledge or skill you want to achieve.
bright ideas
with books, you need light to be able to read. Think of it as shedding some light on the subject. Also, think of a little cartoon strip in which a character comes up with a brilliant idea. Did the light bulb just turn on? make sure this area is well lit.
Food For Thought
Food is a great item to have in this corner, so a kitchen would be nice if it was located in this corner. all the food you buy and prepare here will become brain food.
elements
Water elements are wonderful in gua related to skills and knowledge, such as an image of calm and peaceful water or a water source. think of this as your source of feng shui knowledge.
small metal objects could also help here in some cases. for example, you could have a metal bell for this gua to get “clear as a bell” ideas.
colors
This area is represented in feng shui by the colors blue, black, and green. As mentioned above, objects in this area can include water and plants, which are represented by these colors. try to go with furniture, frames and accessories with these colors.
this is your brain in… disorder
The worst thing you can have in the skills/knowledge/wisdom section of your home or office is clutter. this is the area in feng shui that represents your brain. if this area is cluttered, you won’t be able to think clearly and will likely make unwise decisions.

If you read the papers every day, be careful not to leave them here when you’re done or for long periods of time. Newspapers not only have more bad stories than good ones, but this can cause information overload, mostly with relatively useless information.
Love, True Love… Here?
Believe it or not, the skills/knowledge/wisdom section of your home or office is an area you want to enhance with feng shui if you’re looking to find true love. you can argue that love is all about the heart, but you might want to think again…use your head.
love at first sight may exist, but you need to have the brains to figure out if this other person is “the one” and the brains to know what you want and who is right for you.
We all have a friend or relative who has fallen in love with someone and just isn’t thinking straight. don’t be that person you need to know what you want before you go out and meet someone. Also, you need to know how to tell if someone is lying or if it’s true love.
so if you’re looking to find true love, also look into your skills and knowledge corner when you’re pulling pink in your relationship/love/marriage corner.
make sure you don’t have any objects here that remind you of previous relationships that didn’t work.
